I am not sure how Thanksgiving has arrived so quickly. It feels like the first day of Royal Rangers was just a few weeks ago, not two and a half months ago. Nevertheless, here we are about to begin the Holiday Season.
As I reflect on the things I am most thankful for this year, I think about how blessed I am. My family has enough food, a home, and good health when many do not. I am so thankful for the health and support of my wife, Kim.
As a Husband, Father, Royal Ranger Leader, Teacher, and Coach, I would not be able to juggle all that and more without her sacrifice. At all times, I try to listen to the Apostle Paul’s advice to remember the bigger picture when he said to set our “minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.” (Colossians 3:2). I think this helps me when things do not go as planned.
I know some of you are traveling, and others are celebrating more traditionally. Regardless of how you celebrate, I pray that each of you can take some time remembering to be thankful to God for all that He has provided.
Have a great Thanksgiving!
Chris
