Outpost 292 Wins 1st Skit Competition!

imgres-5Congratulations Outpost 292!

The kids all had a great time at the Klondike run, and more importantly – in case you missed it – 4 boys answered the call to salvation. Praise be to the Lord!

Also, in their very first skit competition, the boys took the overall first place prize with their skit called “A Good Night’s Rest”. Check out the facebook album “Klondike Run 2016 (link) for lots of photos of the boys as they complete their sled and compete for the top outpost.

IMG_1688On March 13th, the boys will be presenting their skit for the second church service, and we will be watching a short slideshow of the Klondike Run as well. Please come out and show your support for the boys efforts.

Here are some upcoming events to keep your eye on:

On three Saturdays this spring, we will hold three Merit days for any boys that want to come and earn some extra merits toward their Falcon Advancement. These sessions will run from 9 AM to 3 PM, and be held on March 19th, April 16th, and May 21st. The sessions are free of charge with the boys bringing a lunch and drink. Snacks will be provided.

Each of these sessions is independent of each other, and it is not required to attend them all, but if a boy does attend all three sessions, they will earn a total of 6 merit awards and 2 required merits that will not be taught for two more years. Any boy who does earn all of images-1these merits will also earn a special leader’s award as well.

There will be a permission slip sent home for these about two weeks before each event.

Thank you for everything you all do and as always if you have any questions feel free to ask.
