A Word From The Coordinator
Spring is always the busiest time at OP 292, and this Spring is no different. This year we will have the first churchwide service project in a long time sponsored by the Fellowship Wesleyan Missions Committee, all of our Merit Camps, a new FCF campout, and our annual “Send A Kid To Camp Fundraising Dinner.”
Klondike Run
Last weekend’s Klondike Run was one of the best. The boys spent their day sledding, racing on a homemade dogsled, performing skits, trading patches, and drinking hot cocoa. Nights were filled with dodgeball, air hockey, ping pong, and more hot chocolate.
Congratulations to the boys for taking first place and a dozen Paula’s Donuts in the skit competition. They also took second in the sled design and overall Klodike Run Trail competitions.

Advancements
This Wednesday, March 2nd, all the parents are invited to come and stay for our opening ceremony. Many of the boys will be receiving advancements they have earned, and it will be a great time to get a photo with your son. We will also finally be handing out the Ranger Derby trophies that came in.
March Merit Camp
This year’s dates are March 12th, April 2nd, May 7th from 8 AM to 3 PM.
Merit camps are an intense and fun way to earn merits and get ahead on the trail to your next advancement. You will spend time doing exciting activities in a positive Christian atmosphere.
Many of our merits are taught by local experts to help teach the Rangers skills that will last a lifetime.

Rise Against Hunger Service Opportunity
We feel that voluntary service to others is a vital part of learning to be a Christlike Servant Leader, and we do try and model this at all times. To complete the yearly requirements in Royal Rangers and receive their advancement, each boy is expected to participate in at least two Ranger-approved service projects per year and take part in our major fundraiser each May.
