Hey Rangers and Parents.
Just some quick information for those of you new to OP 292.
Merit Camps are coming up. What is Merit Camp you might ask?
Merit camps are an intense and fun way to earn merits, get ahead on the trail to your next advancement, and spend time doing exciting activities in a positive Christian atmosphere. We take four Saturdays each spring and bring leaders and specialized experts to teach the kids merits.
At each camp, we offer Ranger Bible studies, and age appropriate skill merits. If a Ranger attends all four merit camps, they are the equivalent of an extra 20 weeks of Royal Rangers. This enables us to run a 12-month program and still take time off to enjoy the Summer.
This year’s dates are March 12th, April 2nd, May 7th and possibly one in June. Times are usually 8 AM to 3 PM. So please mark your calendars so you can be ready.
These events are free and all we ask is that your boy is on time and brings a bagged lunch and water bottle.
