As you know, we are currently experiences and a partial shutdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This situation has caused us to rethink how we can meet and still have Royal Rangers, and at the same time ensure we are keeping everyone safe. I want to thank everyone who responded to our survey, and thanks to you also for the vote of confidence in our procedures.
According to the state department of health guidelines, houses of worship must not have more than 25 people at one time. They can operate at 33%, but as long as 33% does not exceed 25.
With this in mind, our leadership team has been meeting and has come up with a solution that can work for us. On Thursday, December 3rd, we will have regular meetings for anyone who feels comfortable at our standard time, 6:30-8:00 PM. After that, we will meet every Thursday until we can move back to our normal Wednesday night services.
These meetings will still be following our usual Safety procedures. For an update on all our procedures, please go to our COVID-19 Procedures Page. As always, I urge you to use common sense and your own best judgment on allowing your child to attend a ranger meeting
For those who cannot make it to the church on Thursdays or do not feel safe in coming at this time, each group will have a virtual meeting at the same time.
This is a model very similar to what many of the schools are using right now, and we feel that this will be the easiest to transition to. Over the Summer, in anticipation of this, each of our leaders was trained to lead online meetings. Even so, there might be some glitches we need to address in the beginning.
I have shared your email addresses with each of the leaders, and please look for an email from them regarding the meeting link and what we will be covering. Additionally, if there are any materials needed, we will send them home through regular mail.
In closing, I would just like to add that we know this is not an ideal situation for a boy to be learning. Too much screen time is always a concern. But, I also feel that this is a trial we must go through as Christians. We must persevere to overcome the things that will challenge us when learning to be Christlike men.

As always, thank you for the opportunity to work with your boys, and if you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to me at any time. I thank you for your patience and understanding as we go through these trying times.
