Well, it is here – we now have to face the fact that these 50 degree winter days will be fewer and fewer until March and April roll around. I feel this is a great time to review our closing policy.
For the most part, we follow West Seneca School District’s lead, including their after school programs. But, if you are like many who do not have access to that information during the workday, there are some other options.

In case you missed the email – this is directly from Pastor April:
“In case of inclement weather, Mid-week programs will not meet if the West Seneca schools cancel after school activities due to weather. Otherwise, we will make a determination at 2:00pm and a Remind will be sent out.
This is the same system many of the schools use and we want you to be connected with us as well. If you have not already please sign up for this very convenient method of communication with a text or email option.
For students and leaders of 3 years – 5 grade follow these instructions:
To receive text messages: text @fk726 to 81010.
To receive messages via email: send an email to fk726@mail.remind.com. Leave the subject line blank.
For students and leaders of 6th- 12th follow these instructions:
To receive text updates: text @86baf9 to 81010. If you have problems sending the text message to 81010, use 716-508-3293.
To receive email updates, follow these directions: email to 86baf9@mail.remind.com. The subject line can be left blank, and a message is unnecessary.
Also, you may tune into local channels 2, 4 & 7.”

Lastly – I also say we usually do err on the side of caution. If you do not feel safe, please do not risk the trip or if we think some of our leaders who travel from further away will not be safe, we usually choose to close rather than put them at risk.
Want to be the first to know if an upcoming event at OP 292? If you haven’t signed up for calendar notifications from Outpost 292, now is the perfect time to do that. Just scroll to the bottom of this page, and when I update the calendar, you will get an automatic email. No more searching for those last flyers I keep sending home.
As always, thank you for the opportunity to work with your boys, and if you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to me at any time.
