Preparing for the Camporee

Just a quick note for those attending and preparing for the camporee. First, we will meet at the campsite behind Creekside Assembly of God (2625 Tonawanda Creek Road, Amherst, NY) around 6 PM. I should be there by 5:45. Click here for directions to the campsite. It is behind the church

We should be ready to leave Sunday by 11 AM, but sometimes this does take a little longer. We require the boys to pack up the camp, so sometimes we are a little longer. We will contact each of you at the phone number you gave us about an hour prior to us being finished.

They are also calling for possible colder weather so please be sure to send a raincoat and a warm jacket along with waterproof boots just in case it gets bad. Camping is always fun in any weather, but the only thing I have really found to take the fun out of it is getting wet or cold. Please send the appropriate clothing. All that being said it is Buffalo so it could get warm as well – so send some lighter clothes too. The best way to prepare is lots of layers, a raincoat and plenty of socks.
