Jerry Hardy

Adventure Ranger – Assistant Group Leader

Jerry Hardy has been with Royal Rangers since year 2 of Outpost 292. Jerry started with the Discovery Rangers, and then when Outpost 292 expanded, its age groups moved to facilitate the Adventure Rangers (6th to 8th grades) and has been there ever since. Jerry is a husband to Julie since 2000 and has a son Daniel who is in College, and a daughter Nicole who is in High school. Jerry has been in the automotive industry for most of his adult life and is currently selling wholesale automotive parts distributors.

Jerry has been attending Fellowship Wesleyan since 1991 and has helped out in many areas. He started out running the soundboard, which he did for almost 20 years before going into children’s ministry. At that time, Jerry moved into the Wednesday night kids ministry that preceded Royal Rangers. Jerry, along with the Royal Rangers, has for the last six years been a Sunday School teacher at Fellowship Wesleyan for many different grades ranging from 5th to 12th grade.

Jerry has many Bible verses that have meant so much to him over the years, but since working with kids has come down to a part of 3 verses that he is constantly saying to the kids. Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I formed you in your mother’s womb,” Psalms 139:14 “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made” and Jeremiah 29:11 “for I know the plans I have for you.”

For Jerry, he believes that the children and all adults need to remember God made us, and God painstakingly made sure He made us perfectly for the plans He has for each of us. God did not make a mistake, and we are perfect the way we are.
