We are turning the corner, there is a light at the end of the tunnel, and we will make it. Whatever your favorite cliché; we are a little over halfway done with JLDA.
I can’t sugarcoat things – Tuesday was challenging for some kids. But, there was growth.
There is a little sleep deprivation coming on and the boys were all a little hungry because they had to cook their own dinner last night.
Through necessity, they began working together to build fires and started to be more directive with one another and work more toward actual teamwork.
As I’ve said – it is a process. And sometimes, that process takes a little longer with some boys and less time with others. That is OK, because as these boys do grow and become more cohesive, the evidence of that growth will become more visible.
