Over the past few weeks, I have received several inquiries about Royal Rangers. So, I thought, “What a perfect time to show a snapshot of just some of the activities each Western NY outpost is working on.” Here is just a bit of the fun you will find at our Outposts.

At Outpost 292 in West Seneca, the Royal Rangers had thrilling experiences during their Saturday merit days. These days are not just about studying the Bible and earning skill merits, but also about venturing into new and exciting fields. In the past two months, they had two Merit Day events. During the first one, the boys embarked on a fascinating journey to a veterinary center, gaining hands-on experience and earning their veterinary merit. And just two weeks ago, they had an exhilarating visit to the Niagara Aviation Center, where they earned their aviation merit.

At outpost 6, located on Greiner Road in Clarence, Commander Paul Ronca and the other Ranger Kid leaders witnessed a significant milestone in the journey of their Ranger kids. The young ones were engaged in a unique activity-making butter. This hands-on experience not only taught them a valuable skill but also served as a testament to their growing capabilities and commitment to learning.

The boys were working on their Choosing Kindness Achievement patch and making a meal of kindness. They started with heavy cream, shook it, and turned it to make butter. It was so good that the boys had three rolls with butter. That sounds great!

At Creekside, Assembly of God, the Ranger Kids are making impressive strides in their journey. Commanders Mark and Kristen and all the Ranger Kids are on the verge of completing their Trail of the Cougar and earning their Tiger Advancement. This endeavor involves memorizing three distinct Bible passages and learning about God’s creation and care for the earth. Additionally, they are delving into their family history for an achievement patch, a testament to their dedication and commitment.

At Outpost 42 in Batavia, the Discovery, Adventure, and Expedition Rangers have just wrapped up their leadership 206 Merit and are now immersing themselves in learning about Global Missions. They are also gearing up for a crucial May fundraiser, a collective effort to raise money for summer camp.
